Best climbing saddle for around $250

What will you be using it for? For just some recreational climbing and learning about technique New Tribe makes some nice stuff. I would have recommended a Weaver Cougar for that price but they've had some problems with recalls as of late.

Buy a used one and see if you like it. If you don't, sell it and try a different one. Also, at 14 you may still be growing and what works well now may not in 4 years. So I wouldn't recommend spending a lot of money until you know what your needs are. And once you decide what your final decision will be, spend the bucks and get something good as you'll have a lot of years in front of you to get some use out of it. Pawn shops and Craigslist are good sources of climbing gear. I was in a pawn shop recently that had three different sets of climbing harness, spurs and flip line combos. Also, recreational climbing is going to require a different harness from the guy that is hauling up 40 lbs of gear.
