As the title states: looking for the best harness (money is no object) for flipline climbing. I've never used ascending ropes before (maybe some time in the future). Mostly I'm flipline climbing (today I run a cable core primary and a bluewater 8mm as a secondary to pass over limbs...both with pulley tended prusiks) to rig a high choker to trees for pulling lines.

Looking for a nice modern comfortable harness. By money is no object, I mean anything up to about $1k for just the harness. All the other stuff I already have. I'm used to very old school (leather and heavy...not always comfortable) harnesses. Looking now to upgrade to something lighter, more comfortable, and more modern.

I like my New Tribe Onyx for both spur climbing and pruning. Very comfortable with the flipline attached to the rigging plates. I've been in it on spurs for many hours at a time and my legs are more beat than my waist. It has side dees that are comfortable too and make two lanyards easy. It is also very light.

Treemotion, side Ds on hips and another set on legs, rope bridge and also a life support ring on back for rescue. Very adjustable, light, comfy, strong, well designed and durable. You can put tool loops or caribiners wherever you want including on the leg straps

Really hard to decide between those two from the looks of them. Anyone have a good description on the differences between the standard treemotion and the super lite?

I think I may be leaning towards the treemotion just because it looks like the bright rings would be easier to see and connect to with limited visibility whereas the black plates on the onyx would be a bit harder to see. Not sure that would matter once I get used to the harness...but might matter starting out with it. Also, the back support on the treemotion looks a bit taller and like it'll spread the load more.

X2, the TreeMotion Saddle is definitely my favorite, even over Petzl Sequoias. The only drawback is the maximum size of the waist. I personally don't have that problem 33"x33" W & I.

Thanks guys. I watched a few videos on youtube covering bothe harnesses and ordered the treemotion last night. I'm 32w 30i, so I fall pretty well into it's adjustment range. Deciding factor for me was really the rings for hooking my fliplines to. The treemotion just seems like it'd be a bit easier to clip to rings instead of plates.

I'm old school. I like the heavy duty leather buckingham harness. Floating d ring and leg straps. Its durable and comfortable. You can climb 10 hours in it!

Well, my Treemotion showed up today (and a new Silky Sugoi 360 cause I couldn't control myself). After a quick fitup and adjustment, I have to say...it's crazy comfortable and versatile. Should have moved into the modern world years ago I guess.

Thanks for all the input guys, much appreciated.
