Hey, I like McCulloch's I have: Mac 120(pathetic), and a Pro Mac 610 (descent) and its a ok saw, I got it for free, it had been sittin for like 12 years, was hardly ever used, I fixed some stuff on it, got it tuned up just right with a 20" windsor bar and new non-saftey full chisel oregon chain, and shes not bad, but im looking for another Mac, possibly a bigger one anyone got any suggestions to whats the best one out there? thanx Wayne

Some of those old Macs are great, although you may not find that everyone agrees with that around here. I myself have 100cc 550 that is absolutely titanic. Lots of folks say nice things about the 610 series... Heavy, durable, kind of slow, but a great reliable firewood saw.

MY favorite, is the 250 series, which is quite tough, though slow, and not exactly what one would call fast.

Im not just sure Id have used the word Titanic if I was a Mac fan. Seems to me that ship sank on its first voyage.

When your ready for a kart motored saw let me know I have about 40 of them and some are for sale Thanks Mike

I have an old 610 as well. Like everyone else says, she's a little on the slow side, but will get the job done, and is a pretty bulletproof saw.

Yep, thats what I think of the 610 myself. it could be a little lighter, faster, more fuel economy would be nice, but for its intended market, its a reliable and solid machine.

Hey, has anyone ever thought about porting a 610 for fun?

If you are going to go bigger why not shoot the moon and find an sp125? This saw is big (123cc) and powerful and if it is running right sounds awsome. I plan on getting one for myself as soon as I can find one that I can afford.

Ah luvs me some cubic centimeters
