i picked up a pferd file from baileys that has both a 7/32 round file and a flat file next to each other so you can file your cutter and your raker in one stroke. i dig it.

I just use the Pferd 6" Depth Gauge Raker Files from Bailey's with the appropriate File-o-Plate. And occasionally touch them up with my grinder.

Madsens's has a good write up on the process.

And I'm assuming you meant "to lower" rather than "to sharpen".

BobL has written extensively on this and gets rather fancy, with excellent results.
