That thing is way bigger than I need. If I brought that home it would live under a tarp for a long time til I figured out how to get in my building. Probably would be piece by piece.
The nice thing is you wouldn't need to bolt it down.
I have a few 3 phase tools I'm trying to decide what to do with them. I like the prices of the 3phase tools around here. They usually sell them for scrap value.
I have a 32" bandsaw in my shop and love it. The big heavy bandsaws really shine for resawing. Not the easiest machines to move though. If you can get it home for a good price do it.
You won't be converting that to single phase, it is direct drive and not an off the shelf motor. Your best bet is to build a rotory phase converter, the guys over at OWWM.com can walk you through it. If you have never used a direct drive bandsaw they are much smoother and a real treat, Oliver was one of the best.
