I don't know how many bow hunters/ Archers are on the sight, but as I sighted in my bow for the upcoming season I had a thought. The release that I use for the bow could be used to hold the bigshot in a stretched position with little fatigue or effort till you touch the trigger.. All thats needed is to tie a very short loop of throw line or 3mm cord (pull start cord)below the pouch where you would normally hold it back with two or three fingers. The release locks to the cord . Makes for a very smooth launch.

There is a sailing gizmo that does the same thing but is way cheaper. I dont know what its called but is able to do the same job with some adjustment

the big shot that we used at otago poly was set up with one of those. it worked really well and it was tied on with some throw line and we were able to slide it up and down the pole to adjust how much tension.

you can fire a golf ball a REALLY long way haha

Sounds like an idea. It would at least add more consistency in a repetitive release motion when sending the bag up in the canopy. I'd do without it myself, as I believe practice will get a guy to where he wants to be in accuracy anyway.

How does that release? Do you have to pull that little ring straight out the side?

Being attached to the bag in the sherrill one would make me nervous, been smacked by the bag too many times, don't need to add a chunk of metal too:dizzy: Can it be attached to the pole and release a line on the bag and still work?

I've used the release that attaches to the pole but have found that the pole makes contact with the pouch and sometime knocks the bag out. When I use the archery release, i can pull the pouch down parallel to the pole shaft without the pouch touching the pole, keeping it directly below the metal "Y" of the bigshot. There is no fatigue to your fingers all the pull is thru your wrist. Cabelas.com has them new Ebay you canfind a used one.

Yeah just pull that ring. works pretty smooth. I just zip tied a D ring to the loop where you normally pull and release the pouch from. doesnt effect normal use but makes mechanical release use realy easy

When you draw back is your jelly rubber above or below the pole? If it is below as recommended then you can't get hit by the pouch. I discovered this when one day, in frustration, I read the big shot instructions.

Yes, yes, I know, I have to go back to the shop where I purchased my manhood and demand a refund. Becuase no real man would ever read instructions. :)

You fool

I think I learned that on here years ago, no instructions for me. Everything I know I learnt on the internet:givebeer:

But yes, sometimes if the bag isn't straight it gets popped out and something gets all funked and smacks back, maybe it's the bag and not the pouch?

I am in the process of committing seppuku with my MS200 as I type.

Is that left to right and down or right to left?
