This homeowner has some issues. 4' diameter, 70-80' tall, tulip poplar with a carport built around it. My only worry with taking this out is after dropping the trunk, this risk of butt bouncing and hitting the bottom corner on either side of the carport. I know I can drop the lower portion without touching the roof edge. Suggestions?

is there room to drop the whole thing without taking the top out. If so make a thin notch, ive alway had more luck with the butt staying under control if the tops still in it. Then again doesn't look like you have much room to gat a saw in there to make your cuts. Good Luck!

WTF....Another tree hugger build'n #### around a tree :dizzy: Add some $$$ and chunk it down

I almost got to do that once.

Another contractor hires me to do bigger trees than he can handle. He had a tree to drop right next to a house that was being demolished. Even though we could hit the house without consequences, I got told to miss it.

It would have been fun to smash a house on purpose.
