YZ250 Hot Saw $3000.00
Yamaha 250cc saw with bar and one 1/2 inch chisel chain (older, but still some life) and one 1/2 inch chipper chain (for practice). Saw was previously Matt Bush's and has just been completely rebuilt by D&D motors. Saw is capable of cutting under 7 seconds in 19" pine, 3 cuts, cold start. May need minor timing adjustment and/or carb tuning following the rebuild, but it is running extremely strong. Reason for selling: I just hate running the big saws and I'm buying several new modified production saws instead.

I have pictures and video if some one can tell me how to post them I would be happy to.

To post pictures, host them remotely and then past in the address of the pic, enclosed in html taggs - like this

[img*]http://www.yourpic.com/jpg[/img*] only leave out the *'s, I just put thoes in there so you'd see the code rather than a red x.

good luck, I'd love to see a pic of that saw. I know from MX racing that 48-50hp is easily atainable from a YZ250 motor. Does it use YZ250 crank cases too?

good luck

Well, I just discovered that Alltel actually gives me 10 megs of space on the web, which I've been unaware of for the past year that I've had their service. Anyway, I put a bunch of pictures and one short video of me racing the saw at Winnfield last year. As you can see from the video I'm extremely slow with this saw although the saw itself can fly... the wood being cut is 10x10 inch sweet gum, which is the hardest wood used in competition in the US.

The site url is: http://home.alltel.net/slingerland220/

In the video that I put on that web page you can see me running in a split screen against a Rotax... Even though the other guy messed up some, you can see my saw compares pretty favorably, as far as time in the wood for each cut, to the 325cc Rotax that he is running.
