An old friend, fishing and logging pal, stopped by and gave me a great book.

High Climbers and Timber Fallers, GF Beranek.

Wally, (my friend) is featured in chapt. 21, and I didn't know until I read the book how invloved he was climbing and cutting old growth redwood along the NorCal coast.

Beautiful pictures. The camera man/author would climb and take pics right next to the climber/topper.

You must check this book out if you're interested in climbing/topping/falling big redwood.

Cool.
