A friend of mine has a 50' asplundh bucket truck from the late 80's and the upper boom is getting knicked up. Altec says they used to sell covers for them but discontinued. Any ideas? We have been looking for a pipe to split and clamp on there but the only thing we've found to fit is green sewer pipe and it's going to have to be white. Can't seem to find white 8" schedule 30 anywhere.

what kind of knicks is it getting? somone being careless with a cutting tool?

ive seen some booms that looked like they had been recoated over the knicks. no idea on how or where to get it done.

Apparently it is just from rubbing against the tree.

Have you tired a commercial plumbing supply house? They should stock 8" S & D (sewer & drain) pipe. It's white, comes in 10ft lengths.
