I was asking a while back about doing a bore cut. I was out cutting up a downed tree and thought I'd give it a try. Did I do it right?

That "tree" wasn't big enough. Gypo posted a picture that I was looking for, he cut a plank right out of a standing tree.

Husky, He split the little stem.

That, is insane!!!!

i quess thats what had me confused. i did'nt see anything in the picture to bore cut just some small stuff i would just blast through if i did'nt just puss them over becuase it looks dead and not too tough. find something bigger. :D

The downed maple I was blocking was about 24". The little cedar had to go, but I had to think..........."what would Lambert do?"

I believe the "bore cut" only involves getting into the wood with the tip of the bar.  Whatever trips your trigger after you've done that would no longer be part of the "bore cut".

I don't understand wanton tree mutilation, not even when Gypo does it.

I used the tip to get in the wood. The tree was comming down anyway..........just having a little fun. :p
