Borrowed Still 046 magnum smashed

Hey there. My name is Alex and I have an issue. I was cutting some walnut trees for a bridge excavation when my brother in law offered to loan me his 046 magnum saw. Reluctantly I accepted
I used the saw for a couple of days and it was awesome. Ran great , cut better than anything I ever ran. On the third day I was in an excavator with the saw behind me in the cab. The creek bottom got soft and the only way out was to cut. The ground guy yelled for my saw and I handed the only saw in the cab, the magnum.. ground crew made the cuts and disappeared behind the timber.

Little did I know he sat the saw down just to my left or 9 oclock . So when I reached over the berm to lift the machine to try and get it out I smashed the saw with the bucket.

Everything but the engine appears to be broken. The case is busted right behind the brake and the intake is also broke off.


Long story short I need to see if there is someone out there that can repair this saw. Or take it in on as a parts saw and have another 046 they would sell me.

Any help is appreciated.

Most likely, start looking for him an equal condition or better condition 046.

Id say you just need to bite the bullet and go buy the guy a new 462 to keep the peace.
You sort it out with your groundie and yourself as to who pays how much of what.
Then if any of the 046 is salvageable, you build it for yourself to keep and own.
