Looks good! That's a good price too.

This certainly isn't necessary, but when I get a used saw I intend to keep I like to take the saw apart and clean it. I do a pressure/vac test, compression test, check the spark and replace the spark plug, replace the fuel filter and sometimes install a new carb kit. While it is apart check the fuel and impulse lines and the intake boot. Look at the piston and peek inside the cylinder for scoring. Once all this is done I know exactly what kind of shape the saw is in. The more expensive the saw the more attention I give it.

I plan on checking it pretty good before i fire it up.

saw still hasn't come in the mail yet... was shipped last monday from kentucky..... i could have friggin walked there and back by now..... :censored: I JUST WANT MY SAW!!!!!!

It won't come today either - Veterans Day, no mail - I've found usps parcel post to be the slowest form of shipping there is. 10 business days sometimes - A guy in Pa. mailed me two boxes on the same day [i'm in Ct.] One came in 2 days, the other took 8 - Figure that one out?

Got my saw finally(thirteen days after payment). first glance wasn't good box was a little weak and was oily(saw didn't get all the oil drained). after opening and inspection all is good. bar is an almost new oregon 24". chain is 75% and sharp. powerhead solid, but a little scuffed up(looks like it has seen alot of riding around in a toolbox). Compression test yielded 150-155psi. gas and oiled up and fired on third pull. runs and oils good. went out back and went at a 16" piece of cherry, and it just fell right through. Now back to the bench to get it cleaned. pics to come.

Nice photos of the piston & rings ! What's your secret? Mine usually turn out looking like :censored:.

Nice camera(canon XSi). secondary light source and change the focus points, so that it focuses on the piston and not the closer exhaust flange.
