Hello, all. I'm new here. Not yet sure that my account will be confirmed. I am on a task.
Something I posted over at the Garage Journal:
I have an MS 192 TC that I'd like to rebuild properly. Needs something on the order of 381.77 in parts to be completely functional. Spending that kind of money on this saw doesn't make financial sense.
I have a box of random, but new (and, in all cases but one, sealed in their original bags) parts for other saws. Which saws, I don't know. I'd like to trade these for some of the parts required to make my saw run. Greatest priorities are the flywheel and carburetor. Would like to stick with just Stihl factory parts. I know I can get aftermarket items at a lower cost and with varying results. In terms of brand and condition, I am offering nothing less than what I'm asking for.
Here are the part numbers I have:
1125 442 1600 (Contact Spring - Q.1)
1129 180 1501 (Throttle Trigger - Q.1)
1129 182 0801 (Lockout Lever - Q.1)
1129 182 4500 (Torsion Spring - Q.1)
1137 182 0901 (Switch Shaft - Q.1)
1137 182 1501 (Throttle Rod - Q.1)
1137 440 3001 A (Wiring Harness - Q.1)
1137 790 1002 A (Handle / Frame Q.1)
1137 791 0601 (Handle Molding - Q.1)
1137 791 1701 B (Top/Side Handle - Q.1)
1137 791 3101 (Spring - Q.1)
9074 477 2995 (Screws - Q.2)
9074 478 4435 (Screw - Q.1)
Here are the part numbers I need:
0000 400 7000 (Spark Plug - Q.1)
1123 648 6600 (Bumper Strip - Q.3)
1129 122 0100 (Foam Insert - Q.1)
1129 664 0500 (Bumper Spike - Q.1)
1129 791 6100 (Screw - Q.1)
1137 120 0650/51 (Carburetor - Q.1)
1137 160 2000 (Clutch - Q.1)
1137 400 1200 (Flywheel - Q.1)
1137 640 2007 (Chain Sprocket - Q.1)
9512 933 2270 (Needle Cage - Q.1)
Beyond that, here are the part numbers I want:
1137 358 7702 (Hose - Q.1)
1137 640 1701 (Chain Sprocket Cover - Q.1)
1137 648 7700 (Cover - Q.1)
4130 350 6200 (Fuel Pump - Q.1)
9639 003 1205 (Oil Seal - Q.2)
The value of the parts I have is not equivalent to the value of the parts I am looking for. The condition and brand are, however, the same. What I am proposing is a direct trade. We determine what each party will throw into the swap, each of us boxes up what is being sent out, and, in an agreed-upon order, we send it. I am the new guy here, and do not mind going first with the shipment. Trust is best earned over time.
