I should have a job coming to take down 7 to 8 trees in my dads friends yard. This should help me break in my new 372XP. I have taken down two trees with it since i bought it last saturday. Awesome saw and one of the best saws out on the market. Luckely i got one of the non EPA saws because husqvarna sold enough epa saws to get enough points to put the 372XP back out on the market. Unfortunatly this will only be for about another year.

my method of breaking a saw in is "rape and pillage"...run the holy h*ll out of it...i would recommend synthetic oil...i don't run it yet..but just because i have about enough mix for 40 gals of fuel left...(started out with enough for 130 gals-about 10 months ago:jawdrop: )

if it was mine i would just run it the way it needs to be run......just use it the way it is meant to be used.......372 awsome saw :chainsawguy:

Huh???

What's break-in??? Never heard of it... I'm sure all those old guys were so gentle on their new saws, lmao... Break-in my a55, lmao...

:jester:

Imo run it under heavy loads in its power band for short periods of time. In other words run it like it was desighned to be run and should be run. Avoid exsessive, high no load rpm, long periods of idleing, and bogging the saw below its power band. Keep a sharp chain on the saw.

Keep a sharp chain on it and run that puppy:monkey:
Clean the air filter periodically, file burr off bar etc.
maintain it and run the bugger it aint delicate like
them stihls:hmm3grin2orange:
