Put a new carb in my Partner.... now it starts.... Turns out the rings must be done cause I have never seen a saw smoke that bad.... Not too mention It still runs like $!@$@#! probally has ignition issues.... now I shall introduce the saw to the muzzeloader..

Gonna definatly get a new saw now.

Carb

I did adjust it and still junk... I know it needs rings though... but where can you get P55 rings? and I am honestly getting sick of that junk...

If it is smoking and running like crap, chances are the lever arm that actuates the fuel needle is out of adjustment - too long a stroke = too much fuel = lots of smoke, wet plug, bogging. Make sure the metering spring is installed under the lever arm, and then set it so it is flush with the top of the metering chamber. Either that or your gaskets and diaphragms may be in the wrong order.

try

I will try that screw... It only starts when helled full WOT then it runs for a second wide open but then dies... If you let off the gas even a bit it dies... It is smoking more that I have ever see a saw somke .. I will try that but i dunno... I am so pissed at that thing........

Smoke is coming from too much fuel mix or wrong ratio. Bad rings won't make a 2 stroke smoke, since there is no additional oil for it to burn other than what you provide. If your mix ratio is right, then you are getting too much fuel, which goes back to making sure your carb is set up properly.

You may have a bad gasket

The case half gasket may be bad and you would then be burning chain oil. You can check to see by doing a case pressure/vacuum test

Wow

You are correct.... The case gasket is bad and it leaks bar and chain out the bottom... So I am sure it is sucking it in too..... probally causing the thing to lean out too much are run like crap too.......

It aint worth fixin

follow up

before anyone say oil won't lean it out I know this I mean it is probally sucking air through the case too

Extra oil will make it leaner on fuel mixture but only slightly....I'll take it if you are through with it:biggrinbounce2:

You may get lucky...take off the clutch cover, clutch and inner bar plate and check for tightness of the 8 bolts that hold the case halves together.I've sen the one under the bar plate come losse and cause that and it cleared up (mostly) enough for the guy to get another three years out of it

SHOOT IT !!!!!!!

Get a new one !

However, the guys are right. See if somone can buy it or us it for parts
