im at about 3 too and i was pretty happy with that. i got 2 truck loads to split (from my ram 2500) as of now and more to get at my parents house. i just need to score me a trailer for the truck hell another for the tractor would be good too.

I have about 5 cord split and stacked and one more needing to be split and thats about what I used last season,BUT I aint ready for winter yet.

I am ready too!! appx 19 or so cords ready to go, I may have gotten a bit over zealouos last summer. That is what is left from this years burning of 2 stoves!!

I told a guy at work that I had 8 cords ready. He said he take a day off work and be over with his truck. I said that my wife is a good shot with a pistol, shotgun, or rifle. Then he tried to talk another co-worker into laying down cover fire for him. I got quite a laugh picturing that.

Nice stashes so far.
I have about 9 or 10 face cords already, I might squeeze out another 1 or 2 before the end of the month.
I don't like doing this kind of work in summer, so I bust my rump in March-April-May so I don't have to work in the heat.

:givebeer:

We cut wood almost exclusively in the winter time. Too much else to do in the summer anyway.

Booshcat, mind me asking where you got it and how much you paid?

Here in PA you can buy a tri-axle load like that which is usually 8 cords for $600 delivered to your doorstep.

I got a late start and I have about three cords unsplit. Last year was my first year burning and I ran out early feb. I don't want that to happen again.

Ha! Ha! I'm still burning wood this spring and already have my woodsheds nearly filled with next winter's supply! Cut all winter, haul and stack come spring, it works like a charm!

Here is my stash that is at home already.
I have a few more truckloads cut, but need splitting.
This stash is 60% red oak, 40% white oak.
I have a cherry, a birch and some more white oak in my unsplit stack at my camp.
I cut with Stihl, split by hand.

We've got 2 cord stacked in the barn ready to go. Mostly seasoned of the stump stuff that's been dead for years, plus 2 ford ranger truck loads I bought at a yard sale for $10. That was a great score since the guy just cleared out an adjacent wood lot. The skidder left about 20 cords in its wake. Lots of 6" diameter red oak and gray birch. $10 a truckload - but it's work getting in there. Can't back up to the felling site with my rearwheel drive. Dreadful combo of skidder ruts and mud season (NH's 5th season, which takes place between Winter and spring. Actually we're on course this year with the record snowfall to bypass spring and go straight from mud to summer)

jpp... very nice, neat, and orderly. Awesome display.
