This weekend was the first weekend since October 4th that I didn't cut or split at least one pickup load of wood. It was in the 80's yesterday and 86 is forecasted for today, too hot for March. It was nice to take a break but makes me wonder what te summer will be like if it's already this hot usually I'm still burning.

I went out with a bang last weekend though got an awesome 50"+ oak. And even better I got my husky 2100 back from mastermind with a brand new 42" bar my wife got me at Christmas to convert it to haul able pieces. After swinging that monster around all weekend I was beat down and ready for a break.

Is that a cement feed bunk down the middle of the 2nd picture for feeding cows?
Looks like a nice area to stage and work on.

Yeah that's exactly what it is, an old bunk line. I live on an old feedlot that also used to be a sand pit. It's a great staging area always solid and dry regardless of rain or snow easy to sweep up all the saw dust and bark to keep things clean.

Another shot taken from the top of the old silos that shows the sand pit. It some awesome fishing right out my back yard.

Out-freekin-standing!!!

Thanks it was our biggest year ever probably moved around 30 cords give or take. Hope to build on that for next year we could have sold more if we had it. Everything in the pictures is what I'm working on for next year.
