Building a hot saw from a 570?

I want to build a hot saw from a Husqvarna 570. Has anyone done this? Can the fresh air ports be used or plugged or made smaller to meter the fresh air flow? I have a few 570’s sitting here. The other models are hard to come by at a affordable price.
