Hey all,
Looking for some help in my thought process with this tree and deciding mitigation.
65ft Bur Oak, codom split at about 7 ft, centralized column of decay 35%,
healthy growth on side closest to lane, declining on opposite side. 50% root coverage from when lane was built 20 yrs prior. Crack active on one side, sealed and no movement in high winds on other.
Im stuck on guiding the better of mitigation options.
I don’t want to brace rod the trunk and destroy the CODIT wall4 that is saving the tree. I like the idea of the Cobra Cable, but is it worth it? Better to subordinate the failing codom and be done with it? Hopefully the pics work to get a better idea.
Thanks all!
