Looking at a kobelco sk150 excavator, cab is crispy and it looks like the engine compartment is toasted as well. Boom and undercariage are in good shape.

Question is... How expensive/difficult would it be to rebuild the bare necessities of the cab, and fix whatever may be wrong with engine compartment. Ass-u-ming the engine is still good.

Hydraulic hoses and whatnot I have a pretty good idea on. The electronic stuff I'm pretty much clueless, but a quick learner (though color blind)... More concerened with getting the electronic over hydro controls fixed and whatever engine management stuff will need to be replaced. Don't care for heat/ac, radio, cup holders, squishy seats etc...

Electronics/controls will be very expensive. Hydraulics could all be heat damaged also. Burned machines are almost NEVER a good investment, unless damage is very minor. That mchine is called a ,"Leaveright". "Leave her right where she is"!
