My shoulders are not doing so good this year, and i want to replace my climbing saw. Its been good to me though it has quite a yank. I know the ms200 is the saw, but has any one used many and found one thats the easiest to start. Also ms 192 vs 200 is one easy-er to start? I gotta lighten the load so i can climb on.

I know the feeling, Shindaiwa is the easiest to start, but it's too heavy. Go with the MS200, you won't be sorry. I had an 019t, hand breaker, still have my 020T, it's a bit hard on first starting, but I love it, the ms200 starts easy, I've got a Husky 338XP but I don't like it. :chainsaw:

I've got both of the Stihl saws.

The 192t has the primer bulb and 2 chokes. Sometimes you forget about one of them on a cold start and end up pulling more than you should.

The 200t has the standard choke/throttle choke/run switch. Choke it pull till it pops, go to throttle choke pull till it runs and you are in business.

Compression is pretty negligable between the two. I could be wrong on that because anything under 400lbs feels the same to me. lol.

Both start great when warm, but overall I would say the 200t starts easier. My brother just bought the Husky 338xp (he says he can't get his hand in the Stihl saws) so I will have a good take on that saw when it comes in.

I'm getting over biceps tendonitis...right in the top front of my shoulder.
I have a new 200t, no problem with starting...even a drop start is ok on the shoulder.
I mostly cut with two hands, one handing is reserved for when the saw is held down low and away...

I just got rid of my 192t and got a 200t and the 200t is alot easier to start in the mornings.

my boss wasnt so happy i sold off the 192t. So about a week after i got the 200t he went out and tried to buy a new 192t. the place he went didnt have one but they had a 192tc. i guess its a new design its the easiest saw ever to start when warm feels like the pull string is a bungee. you pull it out about half way and the thing turns over like 6 times. Still kind a hard starter when cold.

very easy to start i would say go and try both.

I like my 200 but thats just me.

I know what bursitus is but what is a 019?

the 019 is a smaller saw then the 200/020. the left hand handle is different because unlike the 200 it ends at the back of the saw instead of on the bottom. imo the 200t if a way better saw with more power. i wish i had a pic to post.

one of the groundies that use to climb had one laying around

T'was a joke about using a old model saw. But in truth, I never saw one, the one in the picture looks nice.

019t

Well mine looks alot better than the one in the picture. But Oz got it right, its like pullstarting a harley. I looked at the stihl book the other day and thought i saw elasto start as a option on the 192 Thanks for the comments, my saw is leaking gas now not from the cap and i was going to purchase a t-flex tomorow, but i might as well soak it in gas before i try it on:censored: Guess i need a 200

By the way, you need a raulphing. Not sure I spelled it right but that is what you need. Kinda like a massage for connective tissue, it squeezes the bursa sacks to expell the extra fluid causing inflamation, rips old scar tissue to allow for new tissue growth and helps circulation. Hurts very good, oh so good. I go to a big fat lesbian to work on me, when I first starting getting it done I thought she was just trying to hurt me cause of my, well, penis. But it has helped.
What's a t-flex?

the new saddle, tree flex, in the last ten years hear things have goten where you cant swing a dead cat without hittin someone inthe head with dreads, Ill have to ask one of them where i can get a fat lesbian ralpher, im not prejudice just have prefrances.

I will update on the Stihl saws. Both my saws are 1 pull starters when warm. Once there, the 192t pulls slightly easier than the 200t. I used the 200t yesterday and the 192t today and checked it out. That is the lowdown. Both have the elastostart which is just a little bungie action in the ripcord.

I was told my 20's couldn't be fitted with elasto start, not that I would want that, I don't know. How is it working for you? Seems like you would have more oppurtunities to punch yourself in the face.
