Ben did you get your 026 from Dennis Greffard Yet. I was wondering how it turned out. Or did it get lost in the mail with the other saws he shipped.

good question

I had heard that Ben had decided to have his 026 ported. Seems like that was a long time ago... Would be nice to know how Ben like a ported chain saw.
How about it Ben do you like it?

We all love to hear about fast saws

It's only Jan. 17, 04 and you've lost 3 saws already? I know you Canadian's have problems, but don't go "Postal"! It will all come out in the wash, and I'm sure your three saws will turn up. Dennis

I don`t know how Ben is going to feel about his Greffardized 026, and I have no idea how mine stacks up to a Power Ported saw, but I am very happy with the 260 Pro that Dennis built for me. Mine really rips and it works out really well for my dad when he uses it instead of a much larger unmodified saw. My 68 yr old father spent the last twenty years of his career as a corporate manager riding a desk. The big saws tire him out fairly quickly now.

As far as Canadian Postal is concerned, I`m at a loss as well. When Dennis sent my 260 back he gave me a tracking #. When I tried to track it, Canada Post told me that the number was invalid or not one of theirs. My saw arrived at my house about three days later, via USPS. I think that my saw must have come through Hull, where they don`t deliver mail in inclement weather, LOL.

Actually, for your info Mark, not that it is any of your business.

I'm not sure or do I want know ut it looks like you struck a nerve Mark.
I have no doubt the Greffardized 026 will perform flawlessly just curious as to how Ben liked his 1st (I believe) ported saw.

i gotta believe the 026 would make some real gains.. just from what opening ming up caused..its the one saw that wanted to really get crazy rpms without restriction.. which aint the way to leave it ,,but in the rite hands with a pro balance job.. it probably would be something..
i just got the lineup full rite now.. each saw got its job..but who knows for later..
it just seems the saw mite be able to hold as high as high tens or eleven when in cut.. course theres people here that know ,,but it did leave an impressive ,,impression..

i use the post office 3 to 5 times a week sending stuff and never had a problem yet
now one guy sent me a chain that he had jumped off his bikesaw from New York state and forgot to put down for repair so the post office wanted $90 bucks duty on it , so i said send it back i am not going to pay that well when it got to customs at the border someone needed a scrape 1/2 chain worse than we did but he insur. it for $500 and they paid him

I am stuck in Nashville at the NMMA boat show doing promo work for the lodge so I cant say anything about the 026. It would be nice if its waiting on the poorch when I get home, but I'm not holding my breath.

Did you get'er yet Ben?
I'm real anxious to hear how you like your Greffardized 026.
Let us know......... The first ported saw is always the most exciting.
I know I'm getting anxious for my new ones.

Its been months since I have been on this site and there still seems to be problems concerning his work and shipping. That pretty much sums it all up for me. Hopefully sometime in the near future I will be getting a saw built by Dan Henry. Hope you get your saw Ben. How is the Wood boiler working out for you? I love mine its the sh$t.........Wade

Hey wade nice to see you back.
has the snow hit down their yet? it seems to be just getting started hear
BTW How's the 2186 running did it ever loosen up?

Hello Woodsjunkie, nice to get a chance to get back on the site and hang out a little. The snow is hitting as we speak and I just loaded the woodboiler and its starting to turn over to rain. That will make for some fun in the morning. Just about every school in the state is closed already for tomorrow. So when I get done typing this I have to go play Madden 04 with my boy. The 2186G I got from Dennis is just the same as I described the last time I posted on here a while back...........its a good saw a good stock saw maybe one of the better stock saws I have ran....Thats it. I am hoping to try one of those 7900s of Dans sometime soon. I have been wanting to try one for several months now but the building of a new house has limited my funds so I have to wait for now. Anyway good to be back around...........Later Wade

yep bad here too. id hoped the frezzing rain wouldnt happen.. this may be a major for us.. strange how things work.. my son will make 2yrs income in the next 6 months as an independent ins adjuster..hes one o the best and in demand when they want correct production ,,and willing to pay the price. ok brag mode off.
