Camera fixed! My woodpile

Camera is fixed yeah. If you guys are wondering why firewood is so cheap around here look at my woodshed. We had about 9 cord inside the wood shed and then the hurricane hit and we and at least 2/3 again more outside the shed now after adding two ash and the hackberry that blew down on the neighbors. Starting to get a bit embarassing as people stop by asking "Does that thing burn THAT much wood??":jawdrop: No half is next years sir,,

The wood mountain, as my wife alls it. Lost track of the cords, I call it a pile or is it a bunch of ricks?? The Elkhound is chasing cats,LOL

You sure got a purty area there mister. I love the multi-color leaf litter.
Here in the redwood/oak forest we get, well.... brown forest floor.

Butch, glad to hear you got your camera fixed..... Nice pile, looks like your ready for 'ol man winter. Noticed the nice trailer, do you pull it with an ATV or small tractor?

Built that trailer 32 years ago and youngest son just refloored it and made the racks. I dont own an ATV but do own 11 tractors. I own a farm but I dont live there so everything has to be hauled in over the road about 3 miles. Generaly we load a truck and can get about half a cord on that trailer if we stack it, we just hang an SMV sign on the back and act like we are legal, LOL We are also are building a low buck woodshed out at the farm for year ahead dry storage as most of the wood we cut is the soft quick rotting kinds, The oak in the shed is the first I have burned in prolly 15 years. Hope to get a pic on here in the next couple days. I am kinda proud of the new woodshed for no more than we have in it. I built the one on the pics when wood was stupid high from all new materials and have more in it than I care to admit. One thing about spending lots for gas like we were before, you can spend lots on toys and still be money ahead:hmm3grin2orange: .

Well, not to my knowledge but?? In the first pic the right hand side of the pile and the big rounds in the foreground are hackberry. To the left behind the dog (mostly rounds) is what I was told is Ash but it is a little different than the ash from the homeplace is thatwhat you are calling N Maple? Can get some close ups later.

Disreguard that. Looking at the picture it is not maple (I was looking at the hackberry). Still learning my trees and I think I have maple on the mind since the tree service came down my street and I scrounged up the wood.

Gotta love Ohio hurricanes I tripled my wood pile in a week, sadly most of it was already cut up
