Cams MDC carburetor

Does anyone know if I can use a Zara MDC caburetor on McCullough Mini Mac. My Dad’s Mini Mac that got after his passing original carb was a Walbro but have no success getting it to run after rebuilding the Walbro.

I’ve read here it is a direct fit

The Zama is an M1-M7, not an MDC and they will interchange. Replace the check valve in the MDC and I expect it will work as it should.
