can a clogged bar kill an oil pum?

just started using a new-to-me bar to mill a board and after a 17ft cut added fuel, went to add oil, saw the oil was still 100% full. frick. chain is black but no blueing on the bar thank god, dunno how i got lucky on that, guess the weather carried me? anyways I pulled the bar off, only the first or second tank of fuel with it, and figured maybe the oil port didnt match my saw and I was a bonehead. port did have a fair bit of sawdust in it, but with the saw idling and striped down there was no weep of oil, even tho the disk was spinning. going to tear it apart tonight, but could the back ressure have destroyed the pump, or is it just unlucky timing?
 
husqvarna 266, and I am aware it only pumps if the clutch drum is spinning, I kept the rpm a touch high and the clutch is weak so it was spinning

There were some saws that even clogged the oil tubing; factory changed tank screen; I use a 2-inch paint brush to clear around oil/fuel tank caps before removal, but I would start in tank and check all
 
My guess- the extra demands of a small saw devoted to ripping 17'boards is the clutch bell has sheared the coupling at the plastic worm drive (if it is not a brass worm drive) or the worm drive is just plain tuckered out.
The added demands of milling will accentuate any weakness in the system, the worm drive may have been contacting enough for bucking to supply some oil to the chain, but gave up the ghost with the extra demand asked of it for this task.
