Can anyone identify this saddle buy these pics?

A local guy "thinks" this is a Weaver Cougar... Trying to figure out if it an original Cougar or the Cougar 2 (or even a cougar at all) Any help is appreciated... he's gonna try and take more pics also to verify

So is an asking price of $175 a deal or nah (i see it comes with the suspenders)? It is slightly used but looks good condition. Should i offer $150 and see what he says? He also has a steel-core flip line, biners, 140ft rope, helmet and some other things and wants 325-350$ for everything... hmmm

$175 is a pretty good price, its about $250 new.

Is this stuff brand new never used? do you know this guy personally? If the answer is no i would pass, you never know how it was treated or something half ass repaired....gotta be careful

Its a local guy, it has been used a couple times and he has a bunch of gear he's looking to sell. He says everything is in almost new condition and all the pics he's sent look pretty decent. He's only about 1/2 hour away, craigslist deal i've found. TreeStuff has this Cougar listed @ $215 brand new without suspender top. Hes got the saddle & top, biners, flipline, 140' rope and a bunch of other stuff he'd rather just get rid of all together for around 300 bucks... I actually planned to purchase the Cougar new from TS next week and just so happened to run across this (in my size) on CL and figured i'd look into it. Being local i would have the chance to examine every stitch and seem on the saddle and the rest i figured maybe i could use for non life support applications. I have everything else i could need brand new from TS (ropes, prusiks, micro-pulleys, HC's, Kask, PPE, 2 custom 2in1 lanyards, and a bunch of other stuff.) Only thing i need to start climbing is the saddle which i've been delaying and considering many options.

Looking at all the stuff he has... $300+/- for all is one hell of a deal, but yes it's possible he's taken a fall in the equipment and i haven't yet asked him why he's selling. I expect to hear more details and see more pics in the next couple days. Told him to make a list of what he's got...

I guess if anyone else wanted some of this equipment (i don't really need it all) i could pass pieces on. I'd rather not spend 300-400 on all this when all i need is the Cougar.

Anyone need a Kask? 140' 5/8's rope? Biner or ATC?? Flipline? I can get more details on exact pieces. The biner pictured looks to be the HMS "Pirate".

Shame i just bought a new Kask also so i wouldn't need that. I wouldn't keeping the rope but like i said, none of its needed. Maybe someone else can benefit from some stuff and throw in with me to purchase it all up? An option i suppose

I'm mistaken. Seemed odd he'd let go of a saddle, a Hank of 16 stand line, a wire core flip AND a zig zag for three and a quarter. But, I've bought used great before.. With absolutely no worries. Could be a good deal. You'll get a feel for the guy, I'm sure. However.. If fire that zig zag the **** away. I wouldn't trust that as far as I could throw the chip truck. In my opinion mechanical life support gear is for YOU and YOU only.

Is that actually a Zigzag?? I was wondering if that what it was in the pic. I didn't think it could be for the amount he's asking. I just emailed him again saying i'm thinking about taking it all, we'll see what he says. Maybe he purchased everything and decided it wasn't for him. Who knows...

Might be a grillion or zillion or whatever the hell they're called. But it has two attachments.. That's why my guess was zigzag
