Can I adjust a touchy chain brake handle on a Husq 372XP?

The frugal me says maybe I can adjust the chain brake handle on this 372XP, since the new one will be a month arriving. What am I getting myself into if I attempt that? Advice?

I'd take that cover off, blow everything out and clean it thoroughly, then see how it does.

I think it's something worn in the internal mechanism under the cover. Be careful when the spring is uncovered because it can go flying.

It shouldn't be worn, saw doesn't have many hours on it. But a log did roll over it and crinkled the handle. I am waiting for a replacement handle but in the meantime its like this.
