I saw a Youtube video of a guy testing a carburetor for leaks.
He had a little hand held gauge with a thumb pump and you hook a tube up the fuel intake.
I think he pumped it up with his thumb until the meter read 2.5 psi.
The gauge lost pressure and that meant it had a bad gaskit.
He didn't say the name of the Gauge and I would like to find one.
Anyone have Ideas about this little Jewel

He claims it came from Echo as part of a kit, #91046

MityVac kit with the gauge works perfect. It is not too big. You can use it to test carbs AND crankcases. It is what I used until I got the Stihl one with the rest of my Stihl tools.

I use a MityVac 8500, works fine. Also does pop-off tests in carbs, and you can use it to find leaks by slightly pressurizing the carb while submerging it. I also use the MityVac to vacuum and pressure test engines.

Why do you think the MityVac is to big?

You want the Mityvac#MV8255, vacuum/pressure pump. Google for best price. I picked one up for $45 plus shipping. You don't need the kit. Just go the hardware store and get the tubing and fittings you need for a couple of more bucks.

I have one exactly like the unit in the video. It was given to me and works great! Sorry that I can't help with a source. Gauge reads in Kg/cm squared and 2 is full scale.
1 Kg/cm squared is about 14.1 PSI. Very handy unit.

All you need is .5Kg/cm^2 for a crankcase test and 1.0Kg/Cm^2 for the carburetor fuel inlet to check the metering valve needle and seat.

Pop off gauge, search it on google or ebay. Its what we use.. Well worth the $.
