Does anyone know if the Carlton 8018 trx has a slip clutch? The machine is a 2005, new to me. Has about 300 hours on it. Belts seem to be adjusted well, occassionaly when grinding, will stop the wheel, lift it out, and it recovers quickly, no belt slippage to speak of, or smell either... Just wondering if there is a slip clutch that protects the machine when this happens?

The ones I have seen have a automotive style clutch on them. It does have a adjustment for the throw out bearing. If it is to tight it could be riding on the pressure plate causing it to not put enough force on the disc.
