I finally have a source for Carlton chain. Stens has started
selling it at good prices. The only problem is that they only have
.325 chisel in .50 and .58 ga. I have tried contacting several
people in their company to let them know what a foolish blunder
they are making, but no-one I talk to seems to know what
I am talking about. My customers want full chisel, so I guess
I will have to go with Oregon.

I have two saws that run .325 and I just went out and looked at the gauge. I've never specified what gauge and have bought bars/chains at 2-3 different Stihl shops and they are both .063 gauge (1.6mm). Seems like .063 is just assumed for .325 pitch around here.

Sixty three gauge in not assuumed universal for .325 pitch except for most Stihls. Most other European saws are using .058 gauge with their .325 pitch chain; Th exceptions I have noticed are Echo using .050, and some Solos using .050.

Fish, Carlton is easy to get from Tilton, all types, even semi skip.
