Pulled this off of a poulan, is this the dreaded cat muffler?

Looks like it is, appears to be more free flowing than others I’ve seen.
Yep thays the cat.
It will get gutted and modded with a properly sized outlet. Most restrictive setup I've seen so far, no wonder they only make 2 hp.
