So that is not a good price then.

The guy said it is 4 yrs old but was only used 1 yr. Because that moved to town and used the old place as a cabin and it wasn't worth firing just on weekends.

I would be very careful with that. If it was used for a year then drained and sat empty for 3 I could only imagine the rust in there.

Exactly - I would rather have one that was used for four years rather than one that sat idle. Price seems high also.
 
I don't know when the 4436 was last produced, but I think it was more than 4 years ago. The comparable model now is the 5036. The price looks a little high, but not outrageous. If you have access to this boiler you should take a look and there should be a metal tag that has the date of manufacture on it. Regardless, sitting for 3 years may not have been beneficial.
