Chain brake problem

Hi everyone . I have an old top handled sthil 020. The chain brake needs attention. Chain runs fine but the brake seems to jump on. Simple fix?
Help please.

If it jumps on too easy all the linkage could be packed wot oil n dust. If the saw is getting slammed into branches or saw is kickin back or chattering hard in the cut you might be alright
