i got this chain with the new bar for my sp125 and cannot figure out who made it it has a funny H inside of a square one one link and a 40 on the next link it is .404 pitch .063 gage seams to be a micro chisel type cutter and it has seen better days.

just wondering who made it?

As a matter of fact,so do I,3/8 .404 and 1/2",all in Homelite boxes.I wonder who made the chain for Homelite?

Al, Check inside the Homelite chain box. Some have an ABC chain sharpening sheet. At the top of the sheet is the Homelite Chain Warranty. NO TIME LIMIT.
They will repair or replace free of charge if found to be defective due to faulty material or workmanship.

Most of the Homelite chain was made by Sabre as both were bought by Textron. Sabre ended up being part of Homelite before being bought by
John Deere who fnally decided it didn't fit into their scheme of things
and sold some of the machines to Oregon and closed the factory.
Axeman.
