Hey guy's has anyone done much comparison between the suppliers. Who supplies the best brand loops at the best price, has quaility shipping and a fast ordering process. I recently did a little calling around and found loop prices are supprisingly low on average size chain. I don't purchase a hole lot other than loops but I wondered what others experiences have been with oil, bars, etc. Thanks The Hoosier!

Sharpen your chain fall has arrived!!!!!

Just got the spinner and breaker from Jeff, picked up a roll of 72lg on Ebay for $135, I got chain! I was looking at those loops at CCD but one 20" is a 70link, one 24" is an 84link, leaving me only one saw that the specials fit. So I'd of needed the chain tools anywho. Dealing with Jeff is a pleasure.

OK, I'll go slower for you :D If mixing and matching sizes is possible thru CCD and still get the discount, my average cost per link is 14 cents. So 1640 links in various loops costs me $242(shipped). That's more than what I spent getting the chain off ebay and getting the spinner and breaker from jeff shipping and all. So now when the chain's gone I still got the breaker and spinner. Becoming clearer? I don't think the CCD discount applies unless I get 10 of each size, which would be 2260 links, anyway. And finally, I have to pay sales tax if I buy from CCD. Sorry for the brain teaser in the prior post :p

CCD?
Trimmmed what gauge did you get? 100 ft? And the tools are worth it also. If you are looking to get a grinder talk to Jeff also, look at the Maxx but don't buy from anyone else cause Jeff does something special to make it accurate that others don't do.

I beat ya Trimmed-I got a 100ft roll of .050 gauge 3/8ths Carlton Magna chisel for $102 shipped. No presets included but there was an unused 98 driver Oregon semi-chisel loop in the bottom of the box.:p

!!!!!!!!...$$@&**$$#@ !

who's slow? Looks like you Brian, anal as well. I should have said quantity discount instead of special. When I was at their website checking out chain, they have the 30 loop deal as a link off to the right. Clicking on the link it brings up a cart with the price for 72 link chains. So I assumed it was a special, glad you called me on it though, good to remember just how petty some people are, Thanks!

Now looking at the catalog chains for purchases of 1-9 are

20"-- 10.95
24"-- 13.95

THEN

20"-- 9.95 ea if you buy 10
24"-- 12.95 ea if you buy 10

AND

I did say I was looking at them (buying inference) until I scapped a good deal on Ebay. I believe that "CCS" was mentioned in a prior post, which I took to mean CCD and I also think Jeff Sikkema was mentioned in another post prior and since this is the CHAINSAW forum, just how far off topic(God Forbid) was I?

Bailey's Woodsman chains have served me well. 18" and 20" loops are about $11 or so.
