Ok I have a friend that wants a new bar and chain put on his Jonny 2036,(wee lil thing) If I switch the sprocket to this
http://onlinestore.forestindustry.com/cgi-bin/baileys/5046.html
in .375 pitch 7 tooth And want to run a 16" bar, which bar should I get (inexpensive, but decent)
Also which chain? would like to run low pro chain, with no anti kick crap on it. and how many dl do they take? Sorry for the rambling, just cant find anything near home, so I have to order it. THANKS, Woodbutcher

Why do you want to change to .375 on that small saw?

Stay with the 3/8 lo pro. Keep in mind it isn't the same sprocket as full size 3/8". But I doubt you'd have much luck finding a full size 3/8" sprocket for that small of a saw. Stick with the lo pro and a decent bar would be the Oregon Pro91. Call Bailey's unless you have a preferred source.

Either way. My first impression was that you wanted to convert it to full 3/8.

Dont want to convert it, just find something. This lil thing is a pain.
I suspect that 3/8x7 is a bit much for that little saw, even if it is lo-pro, as the gearing of the comparatively large sprocket will result in poor torque.
3/8x6 would fit the power of the saw better, and .325x7 with NK chain will probably also be a better choise than 3/8x7.
Imo 16" bar is also a bit much, but that depends on the owners expectations....
The 2036 was made by Poulan.

Two reasonably god 3/8" lo-pro chain are the Oregon 91VS (not VG), and I think the Stihl 63PM (not 63PM1).
