Husqvarna 365 special, the bar groove jambs up with debris and locks up the chain after 5 minutes of cutting. The oil gushes out of side port with bar off. This used saw is new to me.

Questions:

Does the bar correctly throw/mist oil at the start of operations?
The grove in the bar is 100% debris free when you start (including the bottom of the grove)?
You're sure the bar matches the saw?

Pics of the saw with the clutch cover off might help.

Make sure the oil hole on the bar lines up with the oil port on the saw (which is usually a slot to allow for bar adjustment). You may have a bar that bolts up to the saw but is not the correct bar in that the oil hole is in the wrong place.

The debris in the slot may be there because there's no oil reaching it.

Have you checked the sprocket at the tip of the bar? If the bearing is gone it will give the same symptoms you describe...........................................................................................................................
