I need help in removing the clutch from an 18" bar Craftsman. I have to replace the chain oiler... have the repair part... no detail instructions about the clutch. HELP! Please. Does is unscrew? Is it on a key slot? Is it on a taper?

The clutch is threaded onto the crankshaft. LEFT hand thread. turn it clockwise to remove it. You can feed some small rope into the spark plug hole to act as a piston stop. this will hold the engine from turning while you turn the clutch. sometimes a hammer and punch will spin it free. This is a good time to grease the bearing also.

Thanks again but do I feel dumb there was an arrow and the note "remove" stamped on the clutch and I overlooked it completely. I used needle nose pliers as a spanner wrench (points into indents of the clutch) with a crescent wrench to turn the needle nose and back the clutch off -- no problem!! the pump was frozen up for some reason and the teeth were worn off -- after replacing all the parts it works like a dream.
Thanks again
Dennis
