Chainsaw Mill Auxiliary Oiler ATF

Okay just rigged up this auxiliary oiler for my Alaskan mill and was wondering what you guys thoughts are on using automatic transmission fluid in it? It will be dripping on the cutting side just past the curve of the bar.I have about 5 gallons I would like to use up but if its not going to do the job I'll just get some veggie oil. BTW I will be using regular bar oil in the saw (395XP) just bought a new 36" bar and want it to last as long as possible. Thanks for any help!

I use ATF quite often. Good lube. I do not use the powerhead oiler since it's not needed and I don't even have one.
