I have 3 used but very nice chainsaws that were part of my father in laws estate. I was wondering if someone could help me in finding out what they are worth. They are to be sold as part of the estate. They are as follows:

1. A Stihl MS250 this one looks to be the newest of the 3, very nice condition.
2. A Stihl 026, Also in very nice condition.
3. A Husqvarna 345, The only thing I can see missing is one screw from the front left looking down from it on the top (holding on the top cover plate).

I have checked out all 3 saws and they run great. All three started with very little resistance, the Husky and the 026 both have new bars and chains.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Well, I'll assume you are genuine and give you my best answer. No one has answered because this is VERY debatable. It depends on how nice the saws are and you have provided no pictures.

The 250 is about 300$ new and I like to give no more than 1/2 for a used saw.
So your looking at about 150$. If it is an auction and no saw guys are around, about 100$

The 026, is not made anymore, however it's newer version the 260 is a 450 dollar saw. I would hope that you could get around 200$

I am sure that I will get differing opinions.

Thanks Daemon, I have attached a picture of each saw to let you see what they are like, I am new to this forum and didn't even realize I could do that.

The saws look great. You'll help your cause if you'll clean the 026 up a little with some 409, and an air compressor. Blow all of the dust off of it.

Check Ebay, and see what people are actually paying for these models.

just wanted to say thanks for all the help. I have had a lot of interest in the saws, a lot of it from this forum.
