are there any chainsaw races held in florida or is there an east coast club or guild or santion are there any races up the east coast preferable south ??????? I'm a chainsaw carver and logger looking to maybe start racing I have a lot of saws and could have them built . Or what ever it takes thanks Mark

I can't fine anything from American Lumberjack assn. that far south. Infact I have never even heard of a logging show in Florida. I would contact your local chainsaw shops/dealers and see what they know. Hope this helps

A quick look in Axemen's News showed the closest contsests in Louisiana and Mississippi. Hopefully, you can find something closer.

You can contact the Southern Axemens association through the US Axemens association's web page:
www.usaxemen.com

Follow the links to the North American Lumberjack Guide for more info. They list a bunch of contests, but there are many that aren't listed.

I know the man that runs the paul bunyon shows he wanted me to carve at some shows . the guys there are all part of the show that isn't racing thats a show . If I'm going to race that means me against whom ever bring it run it lose or win . one or the other . Carolina isn't to far

I would try and see what competitors you could link up with down there. I would make the run up to Webster Springs, WV and see if you can get into part of the contest (Call to enter). Since you have the chainsaws I would also get a double bit axe so you could get into the axe throw. This is a good way to start. From there you may end up like me..... so many toys and soo much wood now just spend the time.
If all goes well I should be at the meet in WV this year if I can swing it with my partner.

Later,
Chris
