Hi rooster, if I recall correctly there is a yellow powder coat available that is the right color for your Mac. Sorry I don`t remember who posted it but I believe the color was obtained from Harbor Freight.

Here is a pic of a mac 1-10 I powdercoated. Not much of a mac expert so I dont know how well it matches. Let me know what you think. Turned out real nice I powdercoat all my old saw projects.

Great job on the powdercoat, it looks great. I wish I lived near you so we could do some business. I still have the picture of the white p-40 you did, very nice.

Pioneer, nice paint job on the Mac. The old girl is a real "looker".

I'm curious. Are you powdercoating on some equipment at work or have you rigged up something for in your garage or shop?

POWDER COATING

You can buy a do it yourself powdercoating kit it it relitively easy to use they cost around 125.00 for a start up kit. The results are great.

Thanks:D I have a powdercoating system. The ones you can buy for $125 work very well. I believe the colors I used were bright yellow and high gloss black.

Howdy- Do those basic powdercoating kits let a person powdercoat large materials like suspension components and skidplates for trucks or are they for small application like chainsaw and engine parts?

You can do most anything with them. Your limited though if you dont have a big enough oven to bake the parts. You can get infared lamps and the real big powdercoating ovens but that gets pretty expensive. Though the lamps arent to much, under $500 I think just take quite a while to bake a part that way. A household oven can do alot of smaller things.

re powder coating

Yes you can but only small areas at a time. on larger objects becauce you are charging the area you are coating with a electrical charge and the larger the area the more charge you will need to get your powder to stick well.
