Chainsaw Usage

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum, I am a product designer and am currently doing a project on chainsaw design and how they are used. I was wondering if any of you that have used a chainsaw before could take a minute to answer 8 quick survey questions. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

No offense, but I don't see how that little survey is gonna help you design anything. You posted in the ask the pros section, so to save you some time, all your answers are going to look pretty much like this.

1. We use our saws daily, not weekly, monthly or yearly
2. Yes, we use them as part of our profession. You posted on a professional forum!
3. Personally, right handed, but every good tree guy is fairly ambidextrous. Most of the bad tree guys can be spotted fairly easily by the missing limbs.

5. Yes. When you're designing your chainsaw, make sure it comes with a full wrap handle standard, because branches grow on both sides of the trunk.
6. Yes, but properly, never without being tied in.

8. Yes, but don't go yanking yellow chain off the market.

Thank you for your reply, obviously I am at a very early research phase so my thought process behind the survey was to get a loose idea of user tendencies (switching hands, how you start the chainsaw etc) getting too specific at this stage wouldn't be helpful to me as it would close other possible design avenues. You're right many of the questions are silly considering the I'm posting to a professional forum, so apologies for that.

Hey, at least you're actually doing research. I swear some of the junk that hits the market was designed by guys that have somehow made it through life without ever actually having seen a tree.
