My Husqvarna 450 rancher starts easily, runs well, but after cutting it off to split cut firewood it will not restart! Carb adjustments are OK, except the chain slowdow (T) adjustment which if set too low where chain stops so does the saw. Any suggestions?

Air leak &/or carb/tuning issue. Do you run ethanol free fuel?
Another thing that can make a difference to chain spinning at idle is the clutch/clutch drum bearing needing cleaning/lubricating.
Start with the simple stuff, clean air cleaner, fuel filter, fresh mix (pref E-Free), clean clutch & lube bearing, tune following the correct process & if problems persist check for air leaks & consider rebuilding/replacing carb.

Did this happen on a hot day will it start now winter fuel will do this on the first of the hot days.

I have experienced hot start issues with both of my Husqvarna's, a 357 and 562.
The dealer said to try setting the choke. Then take it off choke, which sets the high idle.
Then start.
This worked very well for a while.
Others said to keep the saw and fuel in the shade; use the primer bulb to circulate fuel from the carb to the tank, and cooler tank fuel into carb.
Last year I still had issues when the temperatures approached 80°.
I bought a 500i and that cured it.
For what I do, I prefer the ergonomics of the Husqvarna's.
