I was dog/house sitting for a friend of mine when I hear a saw running in the background so I go have a look. I find a guy cutting limbs off his tree no biggie right, no pro for sure. He didn't have a ladder nor was he standing or a truck, but was in a climbing treestand. It was a first for me. I just thought I would share.

I trim limbs from a tree stand all the time... When I'm deer hunting. ;)

I know of a guy who does palms with a tree stand. He's a longtime member here. He seems to know his stuff so whatever works for him.

I give the guy credit for at least using the cheap safety harness that came with it. I would much rather he called me instead  but he made some nice cuts at about 35' , 40' or so in an 8" top.

I've got a fall arrest vest/harness that I wear when I hunt. I just use one of my biners and slings from work to clip into the webbing safety belt. I can clip into anything with the sling.
