cheap moisture meter

Anyone ever tried a cheap chinese moisture meter for their milled wood?

Yes,works fine. I do not know the exact model but its cheap and works fine.

It's unlikely to be accurate but then again very few MC meters (even the really expensive ones) are but most are within 5% accuracy. I never

Most meters (even the cheap ones) are fine for intercomparisons of wood from the same species, ie this piece is drier that that.

For accuracy on all MC meters a species correction factor is needed. On the pinless/capacitve/electrolytic meters a density correction is also needed.
