So, the dog has decided to wage war on yet more yard vermin.

A chipmunk has taken up residence in the woodpile and my dog Clint has deemed that unacceptable.

While standing in the shop yesterday evening, the chipmunk caught his attention and this is what followed.

While the last picture was going on, I was yelling out the window at him saying if there is an emergency vet visit because of this it's coming out of his allowance. My neighbor laughed and said that I sounded like an old hen.

Sorry about the photo quality. They don't exactly come out real swift through a window screen, dirty window, and sun glare.

We also have a chipmuck that is playing a very dangerous game with our dogs. He sits on top of the log pile and chirps at them until they run after him then he runs thru the stack and to a pallet pile.
This idiot also tried to mess with the dogs, was a pretty short game.

had one in my woodpile two weeks ago. Take a five gallon bucket and fill it 1/3 with water. Cover the surface of the water with black oil sunflower seeds. Put a stick leading up and over the top of the bucket. They will jump in and cant get back out. I literally caught one in ten minutes after setting the bucket next to the wood pile.

We have chickens near the wood pile, hence rats. Doofus Dogbelly loves to hunt the rats. She is really good at killing them too. But she won't eat them, squirrels or chipmunks either. But moles or mice....now that is a good meal! Eats em alive.
