Hi
I have an old asplundh chipper. I'm in the process of changing the blades. From what I have read, the clearance should be about card thickness (1/32). They say the most important thing is putting the blades in correct. Does anyone know how to do this? What should the blades torque down too? Thanks

If you want me to explain this gimme a pm.......its long and drawn out and should be done properly. Buy a feeler gauge, several 3/8 hex drive sockets on 1/2 inch drive, make sure you have a nice torque wrench. Also, you will need a friend to help you and you will need some big sockets for the cutter bar bolts which we will have to adjust as well. Each blade has height adjustment bolts as well. If this scares you find someone nearby who works on chippers..... You don't want to see what happens if you clearance them wrong.
