Hey guys,

Just picked this chuck n duck up other weekend, curious if anyone can identify it. No badges I can see. Ford 300, want to get owners manual for it but wanna get in the ballpark year and model wise first. Late asplundh early altec? Also no obvious grease zerks on drum bearings. Sealed oil bath bearings?

Thanks for any input

My friend has one like yours,it's a Woodchuck, will see him this weekend ,know he has the manuals for it and have helped him change the blades. It has a Ford 300 -6 right? Will be in touch

I think that's an old Asplundh that has been rebuilt. The finders, tank, blower housing and chip chute aren't correct but everything else is in the right place.

Talked to my friend,Says is Woodchuck Whisper Chipper is made by Altec Industries and has a serial number on left side of trailer frame in front of battery is a welded number on frame.Their tel number is 877 462 5832 ,you can discribe to them what you got and they should be able to tell you what model you have.

Interesting, that may be why it looks like an Asplundh, except the blower housing, bottom of the fuel tank, and the other mentioned differences. Altec is the name for the Asplundh equipment for many years (became Altec in the Early 90's). I didn't know they had the woodchuck line as well. They share a ton of similarity. Yours is a good looking machine.
